This immense dream catcher has a stunning visual impact and intricate aesthetic details. wrapped in French leather and hung with lengthy hand-cut fringe
The inner web is woven by hand with the intention of capturing all of the bad dreams while allowing the good ones to pass through the centre. The web is representative of Natures' ultimate connection that links all beings.
The frame is adorned with an Amethyst** crystal. One of several varieties of quartz, which gives it a crystal trigonal system. Its lavender to violet shade is the result of iron and aluminum deposits, as well as natural irradiation.
The crystal is wrapped in a snug leather support. The bottom fringe and frame are decorated with feathers of varying colors, which are said to let the bad dreams that have been caught in the net drip down them to be burnt away with the morning light.
The leather used is very high quality from a very reputable small batch distributor that has been in their family for multiple generations here in Paris.
The feathers are from domestic bird species that are accepted by international customs and not rare species. I use goose, pheasant, peacock, guinea fowl & turkey.
**Purple Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and legendary powers to stimulate, and soothe, the mind and emotions.
Amethyst was also reputed to control evil thoughts, increase intelligence and was considered to be a powerful psychic stone of protection.
In today’s world, Amethyst is still a remarkable stone of spirituality and contentment, known for its metaphysical abilities to still the mind and inspire an enhanced meditative state. Its inherent high frequency purifies the aura of any negative energy or attachments, and creates a protective shield of Light around the body, allowing one to remain clear and centered while opening to spiritual direction. Amethyst stimulates the Third Eye, Crown and Etheric Chakras enhancing cognitive perception as well as accelerating the development of intuitive and psychic ability.
